11/1/14

Serbal Assemblage 2012, by Atamisque

Tasting notes,
In the glass this wine was red deep, with some sparkles violet and ruby on the edges. Thick and dense tears draw roads on the walls of the cup on his return to the nectar.

The nose was intense and exquisite. Showed aromas very suggestive with a lot of sweet red pepper and spices. Then shyly showed fresh cherries and plums… Sweet and refreshing acidity... good, good!

On the palate it was explosive, fresh and balanced. The notes of Cabernet Franc (sweet red pepper) dominate fairly, together the sweet plums of Malbec . Perhaps the Merlot contributes with fresh and spicy notes that accompany the swig. Unforgettable aftertaste of medium-high persistence.

Summary
In this young red wine dominate from start to finish the character and expressivity of Cabernet Franc, resulting a wine with character and strength, rounded by the elegance of Merlot and sweetness of Malbec . A great blend accomplished by the work of Philippe Caraguel and Adrián Vargas! We liked it very much!
